About
Sacred Splendor: Jewish Ritual Art and Christian Treasures from St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague is an exhibition of over 160 objects of Jewish and Christian sacred art from medieval to early modern Europe. Organized by The Jewish Museum in collaboration with the Metropolitan Chapter of St. Vitus in Prague, it brings Christian reliquaries from the cathedral's treasury together with Jewish treasures never before shown in the United States. The exhibition examines shared urban and artistic environments in Prague and Central Europe, including buried medieval Jewish hoards, Torah ornaments, metalwork, and manuscripts. It also features tehillim (2018) by contemporary artist Edmund de Waal and is on view through February 7, 2027.
