About

Second Sunday Castle Tours are guided tours of The Castle in Fort Totten and its exhibitions, held on the second Sunday of each month. They are conducted by the Bayside Historical Society's staff and volunteers, with two tours of about 45 minutes each, starting at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Admission is free, but reservations are required. Completed in 1887, The Castle is one of New York City's finest surviving examples of Gothic Revival castellated-style architecture and originally served as the Officers' Mess Hall and Club for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers School of Application.
