About

Seneca Village Tour is a 90-minute walking tour, about 0.78 miles long, through the area of Central Park from West 82nd to West 89th Street. It is offered by the Central Park Conservancy, the nonprofit that has cared for Central Park since 1980. Before the Park was built, this area was home to Seneca Village, the largest community of African-American property owners in New York. The tour starts at Mariner's Gate at West 85th St. and Central Park West.
