A free, all-day open house at a historic house museum celebrating a new exhibition and the 200th anniversary of the Mount Vernon Hotel opening on this site. The Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden invites the public to drop in between 11am and 4:30pm for complimentary tours, Insider Talks on the exhibition The Empire City Begins: New York in the 1820s and 1830s, and refreshments in the historic Tavern. Visitors can also play a traditional 19th-century game, stroll the historic garden, browse the gift shop, and learn about the hidden history of day hotels in 1820s New York.
