About
The Halloween Harvest Festival fills Socrates Sculpture Park in Astoria with a family-friendly afternoon of artmaking workshops, performances for young children, and pumpkin decorating and carving contests. The program also includes a community resource fair with local organizations, a vegan food market curated by Erica Muñoz, and an annual dog costume contest co-hosted with Chateau le Woof. Workshops range from learning about New York's bats with iDig2Learn to Lizania Cruz's interactive kiosk 'Ecologies of Care' and costume making with reused materials. The event also marks the park's season closeout.
