About
A hands-on workshop on starting vegetables from seed as an economical act of self-determination, where participants learn money-saving tips from making their own seed-starter mix to using upcycled materials and choosing the right seeds, and start seeds to take home. It is taught by seasoned community garden leader Bronzetta Rivers as part of Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Community Greening Workshops, leaving attendees ready to prepare their garden's seed-starting for next spring. Preregistration is required, and an ASL interpreter is available upon request at least two weeks prior.
