About

A book event celebrating 'The Beverly Hills Housewife: Hockney's Californian Muse and the World Beyond the Pool' at the Rizzoli Bookstore. Author James Cahill will be in conversation with Patrick Monahan, followed by a signing. The book weaves together David Hockney's discovery of Los Angeles with the story of Betty Freeman, the collector he painted in 'Beverly Hills Housewife' (1966-67), moving between art history and anecdote.
