About

Sea, Pop & Sun is an exhibition of more than 80 works of Pop Art, including paintings, sculptures, photographs and videos. It is presented by the Fondation Carmignac and curated by Dr. Dieter Buchhart and Dr. Anna Karina Hofbauer. Named after Serge Gainsbourg's provocative hit, it shows sun-drenched, sensual works by icons such as Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Martial Raysse alongside contemporary artists like Derrick Adams, Théo Mercier and Judy Chicago, evoking the freedom and vitality of the 1960s and 1970s while also reflecting on a paradise lost to overconsumption.
