About
THE CHANDLER TRAVIS PHILHARMONIC is an 8-piece band from Boston featuring a horn section, string bass, mandocello, guitar, drums, accordion, keyboard, and a singing valet. Led by Chandler Travis, the band plays what it calls alternative dixieland and omnipop, and has been called a blend of Ringling Bros. and Ra that puts the harm back in Philharmonic. The Village Voice has described them as keenly entertaining and called Chandler a true New England eccentric and a master of daft power pop. Their albums include the 2000 debut "Let's Have a Pancake", the RadioBall series, and 2017's "Waving Kissyhead".
