Thibaudet Performs Liszt
David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center Plaza 10, 10023 New York, Manhattan
About
A concert by the New York Philharmonic at David Geffen Hall. The pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet joins conductor Rafael Payare and the orchestra for Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 2, whose tender opening gives way to an extroverted solo piano role culminating in a fiery finale, followed by Bruckner's Ninth Symphony. The program lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes including an intermission, and the performance is simulcast on the hall's 50-foot Hauser Digital Wall for all to enjoy.
