About

An exhibition of recent paintings by Younghee Choi Martin at Bowery Gallery. Under the title "Orpheus: Recent Paintings", the show gathers her large oil works, including "Agamemnon's Return", "Electra's Offering", "Clytaemestra's Memory" and "Orpheus and Euridice". Her subjects draw on myth, with paintings such as "Orestes' Trial", "Recognition Scene" and "Agamemnon's Landing" alongside works in charcoal over oil wash.
