About
The Powa Ceremony consists of sung prayers for the deceased, a Buddhist practice taught by Buddha, in which through meditation and compassion the consciousness of those who have recently died can be transferred to a higher rebirth. It is held by the Kadampa Meditation Centre in Zurich in a group, in German; participants may sing along or simply listen, no registration is needed, and everyone is welcome. After the ceremony there is an opportunity for meaningful exchange over coffee, tea and cake. The prayer booklets are provided on site.
