Cherchez la femme – Weibliche Positionen der Avantgarde

A dialogue-based guided tour at the Museum für Gestaltung exploring women's positions in the avant-garde. Art and design historian Gerda Breuer and Bettina Richter, curator of the poster collection and the exhibition, shed light on works by well-known and lesser-known pioneers of modernism. It looks at the reasons for the marginalization of women in design history, the politics of gender equality in the young Soviet Union, and a feminist avant-garde in the West. The tour is aimed at adults and teenagers, is wheelchair accessible and is held in German.
