Avantgarde – Grafikdesign im Aufbruch is an exhibition at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich on Ausstellungsstrasse. The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich presents how graphic design was radically renewed between the world wars through constructivism, New Typography and photography. Posters, collages and magazines by El Lissitzky, Valentina Kulagina, Jan Tschichold, Lucia Moholy, Binia Bill and Adolphe Mouron Cassandre are shown alongside parallel trends in architecture, product design, theatre and film. Children from the age of nine can explore the exhibition on their own and solve playful tasks along the way.
