Frauensache!: songs by and for women in choral concert.

A choral concert titled «Frauensache!» at the Musikschule Konservatorium Florhof. The women's choir Singfrauen Winterthur, directed by Franziska Welti, sings songs by and for women from Finland, Georgia, Italy, Mexico and South Africa, accompanied by clarinet, accordion and percussion, with Liliana Heimberg as narrator. The evening creates a space for women's voices: the singers stand alongside those who campaign for self-determination and honour those who paid with their lives for the right to freedom. It also features the premiere of the choral suite «Die Zürcher Petitionärinnen 1868» by Jean-François Michel, about the letters the women of Zurich sent the government in May 1868 asking for fair inheritance rights, better education and the right to vote and stand for office.
