Herbstkonzert des JSO Crescendo und dem Projektchor Canturicum in Zürich
Kirche St. Peter
Eintritt frei - Kollekte
About
An autumn concert featuring the oratorio «Jephta und seine Tochter» by Carl Martin Reinthaler. It is performed by the youth symphony orchestra JSO Crescendo, the project choir Canturicum, the Kantorei Wetzikon and seven soloists. The project choir is celebrating its 20th anniversary, while the Kantorei Wetzikon marks its 140th jubilee. The work tells the Old Testament story of Jephta, who vows to sacrifice the first person to greet him on his victorious return – and it is his own daughter Mirjam, whom Reinthaler's version ultimately saves.
