About

A symphony concert featuring works by Grieg, Rautavaara and Sibelius. The Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra (SJSO) performs under the young Lithuanian conductor Izabelė Jankauskaitė, playing Grieg's Norwegian Dances, Rautavaara's «Cantus Arcticus», which combines real birdsong with orchestral sounds, and Sibelius' Fifth Symphony. The autumn tour heads northwards in theme.
