About
A choral and orchestral concert at the Kirche Glaubten in Zurich-Affoltern performing works by the Baroque composer Jan Dismas Zelenka. Behind the event is the Laudate Chor Zürich conducted by Eugenio Giovine, with four soloists and an instrumental ensemble. The programme features Zelenka's Requiem in C minor, «De Profundis» and «Miserere», works on death, transience and hope. The composer, nearly forgotten for almost 200 years yet highly esteemed by Bach, is presented as headstrong and surprisingly modern.
