Mondonville's Grands Motets with Cantus Zürich.

A concert featuring the grands motets of baroque composer Jean-Joseph de Mondonville, including "In Exitu Israel", "Coeli enarrant gloriam Dei" and "Dominus regnavit", at Kirche Neumünster. Behind the performance are the choir Cantus Zürich and the Consortium Musicum under the direction of Sven-David Harry. Mondonville, one of the most significant composers of the late French baroque, combined the elegance of French tradition with virtuosic, Italian-influenced sounds known from baroque opera. His colourful choral music unites spiritual depth with festive brilliance and is rarely heard today.
