Japanische Tuschmalerei

„Japanische Tuschmalerei“ is a course evening on Sumi-e painting, open to everyone aged 13 and up – no experience or talent needed, just curiosity and openness. Margot Tohkou (東虹) Olejniczak, an artist and licensed instructor for Japanese ink painting in Europe, teaches traditional techniques and styles along with subjects such as bamboo, cherry blossoms, mountains and birds. Sumi-e translates as „drawing with black ink on paper“ and is an art of meditation and inner reflection in which more is suggested than stated. Participants learn the main principles of Japanese art, philosophy and composition and practise with the teacher's guidance.
