Jihye Lee with ZHdK New Composers Ensemble: big-band jazz.

An open dress rehearsal in which the ZHdK New Composers Ensemble performs the music of Jihye Lee under her direction. The Korean-born composer, arranger and conductor, who lives in Brooklyn and won the German Jazz Prize, coaches the ensemble beforehand in an intensive rehearsal phase. The JazzPop programme of the ZHdK opens this rehearsal in the Club Mehrspur to anyone interested. Her music combines big-band jazz with traditional Korean folk rhythms and a highly personal way of musical storytelling.
