About
The Kammermusik-Matinee is a chamber music concert in the Kleine Tonhalle featuring romantic works. The performers are Isabel Neligan and Noémie Rufer Zumstein (violin), Sarina Zickgraf (viola), Gabriele Ardizzone (violoncello) and Sebastian Tortosa (piano). The programme consists of Beethoven's String Trio in C minor op. 9 No. 3, Smetana's Andantino-Presto from «Aus der Heimat» and Fauré's Piano Quintet No. 2 op. 115. This season's matinees follow the motto «Beethoven? … natürlich!», and hearing loss is a theme uniting all three works: Smetana and Fauré also became deaf and still wrote significant music.
