SIGNS, GAMES, AND MESSAGES

"SIGNS, GAMES, AND MESSAGES" is a chamber music concert featuring works for string trio. The Mondrian Ensemble Basel performs four pieces ranging from Bach to Cerha, including Beethoven's String Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3. The programme opens with Bach's "Ricercare a 3", contrasted by György Kurtág's emotionally profound miniatures and Friedrich Cerha's characterful bagatelles. It concludes with Beethoven's passionate trio, which breathed new life into the genre with its symphonic power.
