Kino-Konzert: Brumes d'automne & La glace à trois faces

A cinema concert pairing two silent films of the so-called «French Impressionism» with live music by IOKOI featuring Mara Miccichè (electronics, voice). Organised in cooperation with the IOIC, the programme brings together Brumes d'automne and La glace à trois faces, two outstanding examples of a style that strongly shaped later cinema. Kirsanoff's short film conveys his female figure's inner worlds entirely without a plot, while Epstein embeds them in an intricate narrative structure that nonchalantly shifts between levels of time and space. It is about three women longing for the same frivolous rake – can that end well?
