Kino-Konzert: Mutter Krausens Fahrt ins Glück

A cinema concert presenting the silent film 'Mutter Krausens Fahrt ins Glück' with live music. Phil Jutzi's film (Germany 1929) follows Mother Krause, who lives in a tenement block in Berlin's working-class Wedding district and desperately tries to raise the money her family needs to survive, while her son Paul goes astray and her daughter Erna meets the worker Max. The music is performed live by the ensemble MURNAU'S HEAD on piano, electronics, guitars and drums. Regarded as a key work of proletarian silent film, it was the left-wing Prometheus Film's attempt to make a milieu study with a revolutionary stance for a mass audience.
