About

Holding Things Together is the first solo show by Swiss artist Loredana Sperini with Galerie Urs Meile. It presents new works ranging from ceramic forms suspended from metal mobiles and sculptural interventions on chairs to wax-covered cement panels and textile compositions. The body recurs throughout, rarely as a complete figure, but through fragments and abstract forms whose proportions suggest bodily features. Sperini's practice combines and adapts methods from different media, and she often challenges conventional expectations of how things should look or behave.
