About
A reading with Marco Presta from his Christmas story 'Scrooge sucht den Superstar'. Presta, born in Rome in 1961, is an actor and author for stage, film and television, and since 1995 writer and host of the Rai Radio 2 show Il Ruggito del Coniglio. His story follows the bitter music producer Aurelio Scrocchia: when the talentless singer Salomè is to perform on Christmas Eve in a lavish TV show, he accidentally swallows a hallucinogenic pill and suddenly three ghosts appear before him. The witty, fast-paced and moving Christmas satire nods winking to Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and tells of lost ideals, second chances and the power of hope. Actor Hanspeter Müller-Drossaart reads passages from the German translation, and the evening is hosted by Eleonora Rothenberger.
