A concert by the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich in the Grosse Tonhalle. Music director Paavo Järvi conducts; the Japanese pianist Hayato Sumino, popular in the concert world as well as on YouTube, makes his debut. He plays Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3, along with Prokofiev's Symphony No. 4 in its 1947 version and Dieter Ammann's orchestral work 'Turn', which once more shows his talent for clear, energetic gestures. The concert is part of a Prokofiev cycle in which the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich continues its collaboration with the Orchestra of the Zurich Opera.
