Räbenabgabe für Räbeliechtli-Umzug
Friesenbergplatz
Kostenlos für FGZ-Kinder; 2 Franken für Kinder, die nicht in der FGZ wohnen
About
At the turnip distribution, children can pick up a turnip to carve into a lantern for the Räbeliechtli parade on the Friesenberg. The event is run by Freizeit.FGZ, the leisure organisation of the Familienheim-Genossenschaft Zürich housing cooperative, which is preparing the neighbourhood's Räbeliechtli parade with it. Children up to and including 5th grade living in the FGZ get a turnip for free along with a voucher for a sausage with a roll and a children's tea. Children who do not live in the FGZ can also collect a turnip and a food voucher for a symbolic contribution of 2 francs.
