About
"School of Rock" is a film by Richard Linklater from 2003. Jack Black plays Dewey Finn, a rock musician with band ambitions who poses as a substitute teacher and teaches the children the deeper values of Black Sabbath and AC/DC. Joan Cusack also appears as the wonderfully stiff headmistress, and all the children play music themselves. The film celebrates its naive, innocent protagonist without ever being condescending.
