About

"Spaceballs" is a comedy and sci-fi parody about an adventure in the endless expanses of space, where the laughing goes on until the oxygen reserves run out. Made by the comedic workshop of Mel Brooks, the film takes loving swipes at the best-known sci-fi epics and stands as a milestone of 80s parody cinema. Mel Brooks directs and also appears on screen, alongside a cast including Bill Pullman, Rick Moranis, Daphne Zuniga and John Candy. Its cult status is long sealed – if you understand what "Ludicrous Speed" really means, you are in the club of the initiated.
