Alfie: Michael Caine as a charming London womanizer.

The film «Alfie» follows Alfie Elkins, a London chauffeur and committed womanizer who lives for his conquests and refuses to commit to any one woman. The screenplay was written by Bill Naughton based on his own stage play, with Lewis Gilbert directing. Michael Caine stars in the title role, and the music comes from Sonny Rollins. What is a comedy for Alfie turns to tragedy for the women around him – not least through the unwanted pregnancies resulting from his escapades.
