Spinning Beginnings: First Steps on the Potter‘s Wheel
Paint It Easy, Bederstrasse 94, 8002 Zürich, Kreis 2
ab 390.– CHF
About
A four-week beginner's course on the potter's wheel that leads from centering your first ball of clay to throwing your own vessels. It is run by Paint It Easy, a studio in Zurich where experienced ceramicists teach. In small groups of at most six participants, everyone gets their own wheel and learns step by step how to prepare and center clay, open it, pull up the walls, and shape forms such as cups and bowls. The course also covers trimming and decorating your pieces plus an introduction to glazing, with clay, firing, materials, and coffee, tea and water all included.
