About
"Down to Earth: First Steps in Ceramics" is a beginner course in handbuilding ceramics, held over four weekly sessions of 2.5 hours each. It is run by Paint It Easy, which teaches the basics of working with clay in small groups with no previous knowledge required. The course covers the three fundamental handbuilding techniques – pinching, slab building and coiling – for making vessels and forms, along with textures, surface decoration and finally glazing your pieces. Participants get demonstrations and individual guidance and need to bring nothing themselves.
