The Tempest: Shakespeare's storm, freely adapted.

A theatre performance of the play „DER STURM – Ein Spiel über Macht, Vergebung und die Frage, wer wir wirklich sind". The Gymnasium Unterstrass presents a free adaptation of William Shakespeare's „Der Sturm". On a lonely island, the exiled Duke Prospero has lived for twelve years with his daughter Miranda and a magic power that returns to him the might once taken from him as a prince. When the ship of his former enemies is wrecked in a storm he himself conjured, revenge seems at hand, while betrayal, love and lust for power make the castaways – and Prospero's spirit Ariel and the wild Caliban – ask whether true liberation may lie elsewhere than in the old order.
