The Tempest: Shakespeare freely adapted for the stage.

A theatre performance at Gymnasium Unterstrass: "DER STURM – Ein Spiel über Macht, Vergebung und die Frage, wer wir wirklich sind", a free adaptation of William Shakespeare's "The Tempest". It is staged and presented by Gymnasium Unterstrass itself. The play tells of the exiled Duke Prospero, who has lived on a lonely island with his daughter Miranda for twelve years, endowed with a magical power that returns what was taken from him as a prince. When the ship of his former enemies is wrecked by the very storm he has conjured up, the hour of revenge seems to have come – yet amid betrayal, love and greed for power, the castaways ask where true liberation lies.
