Bachmann & Volken on unbuilt mega-projects.

An event at the Orell Füssli Buchhandlung Kramhof in Zurich where Thomas Bachmann and Marco Volken present their work on unbuilt major projects. They shed light on sixteen spectacular projects that were never realized – such as a motorway interchange in Zurich or a giant ski arena in the Prättigau – between technical revolution, megalomania and fascinating dreams of the future. Bachmann is a geographer, musician and author with several publications, while Volken is a freelance photographer and author who has written numerous illustrated books and non-fiction works on alpine subjects. The event is organized by Orell Füssli Thalia AG.
