Vorband: Smilla Diener – Die Welt im Berg

The event is a reading as part of the series «Vorband», which introduces young writers from Switzerland ahead of a regular reading. Behind it is Smilla Diener, born in 2000, who studied industrial design and cultural journalism, writes texts, produces audio and video, builds installations and moderates conversations. Her work is interested in encounter in physical space and devoted to topics such as human–technology relationships, the meaning of the commons and our agency in the climate crisis. She is currently working on a longer text about a tunnel-boring entrepreneur and the legacy of the century of acceleration.
