“28” is a staged reading in English about a woman trying to hear her own thoughts and feelings through a chorus of voices with plenty to say about her body. The play is by Olga Shiliaeva and is staged by Anja Demidova, translated by Katherine Soloviev. The performance grows out of a week-long theatre laboratory in which seven actors work with the text, movement and masks that become their costumes on stage. Shiliaeva's play was shortlisted for the Lubimovka Festival in 2018 and nominated for a Golden Mask theatre award in 2020.
