Am Wannenrand: staged reading of Czech contemporary drama.

A staged reading of the play “Am Wannenrand” by the young Czech author Natálie Bočková, combined with the presentation of the anthology of Czech contemporary drama of the same name. Eberhard Köhler directs; Thea Rasche and Henning Bochert perform, followed by a public talk with the author. The play is a sarcastic study of a failed relationship between the aspiring director Sofie and the food delivery man Thomas, built as a clash of two ways of life that exposes social divide, classism and artistic mannerism. The event is organized by Drama Panorama: Forum für Übersetzung und Theater e. V., in cooperation with Theater unterm Dach and the Czech Centre Berlin.
