Tchoban Foundation, Christinenstraße 18A 10119 Berlin
About
The exhibition “Nizo Yamamoto: Master of Anime Scenography” is dedicated to the work of one of the most influential art directors in Japanese animated film. Over more than four decades, Yamamoto (1953–2023) created visual worlds that have left a lasting mark on the genre's visual memory, through films such as Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. The Museum of Architectural Drawing presents the first comprehensive exhibition of his artistic work outside Japan. It is curated by Stefan Riekeles.
