Ausstellungseröffnung Betroffene zeigen Gesicht
St. Hedwigs-Kathedrale Berlin, Hinter der Katholischen Kirche 3, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
Opening of the photo exhibition "Betroffene zeigen Gesicht", which shows people with personal stories about sexual abuse within the church. Conceived by Dr. Ilonka Czerny of the Akademie der Diözese Rottenburg-Stuttgart, the opening also features speeches by vicar general Pater Manfred Kollig. The exhibition pairs photos from the survivors' childhood and youth with short personal texts they provided, without depicting the violence itself in images. It is shown in the Raum der Umkehr in the crypt of St. Hedwig's Cathedral.
