About
The Berliner Philharmoniker give a symphony concert in the Philharmonie's main hall. Zubin Mehta conducts and Pinchas Zukerman plays the violin; both have been associated with the orchestra for decades. The programme spans Mozart's lively overture to “Le nozze di Figaro”, Bruch's First Violin Concerto with its soulful melodies and elegant virtuosity, and Dvořák's Seventh Symphony, his darkest, most melancholy and combative to date. The evening lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes including an intermission.
