About
An evening with the Berliner Philharmoniker at the Philharmonie: conductor Zubin Mehta and violinist Pinchas Zukerman bring Max Bruch's First Violin Concerto to life with its enchanting melodies and elegant virtuosity. The programme opens with Mozart's lively overture to the opera Le nozze di Figaro. After the interval comes Dvořák's Seventh Symphony, whose dark, melancholic and combative character reveals a completely different side of the composer than his folkloristic Bohemian flavours.
