About
Women support Women is a cooperative exhibition at the Kommunale Galerie Berlin. It is staged by the Kommunale Galerie Berlin together with GEDOK, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Fifteen artists chosen by a jury made new works especially for the show in painting, photography, video, installation, performance and sculpture, looking back on the association's history and reflecting on their position as female artists in a society that remains patriarchally structured. The outcomes of several months of artistic work are presented in a dialogue exhibition at two venues, in order to strengthen the visibility of women artists.
