An evening talk with a hands-on part about the two textile raw materials nettle and linen at the Museum Haus des Papiers, as part of the HAHNEMÜHLE WEEKEND. Antje Mehring-Pütz of aus-der-weberei.de tells the millennia-old story of the two fibers, their cultivation, extraction and processing into finished fabric. Afterwards, participants can try spinning linen and nettle fibers themselves and take fiber samples home with them. The event takes place in the Raum für Materialerfahrung at Legiendamm 16.
