About

An interculture cinema evening with a documentary about the racist attack in Hanau on 19 February 2020, in which nine young people were murdered. The event is run by Interkulturanstalten Westend e.V.; the film is by director Marcin Wierzchowski, who for four years accompanied the victims' families and survivors in their fight for justice and recognition. The film makes structural racism visible – both in the attack itself and in the authorities' treatment of the bereaved – and asks who belongs to Germany. A talk with the director follows the screening; admission is free with a reservation.
