About
Das Herz eines Boxers is a piece of youth theatre built as a dialogue between generations about loneliness, anger and the courage to change one's own life. It was written by Lutz Hübner and staged for the return of the classic to the GRIPS Theater under the direction of Jessica Weisskirchen. Seventeen-year-old Jojo is sentenced to community service in a retirement home after a theft, where he meets Leo, a silent former professional boxer. What begins as a forced arrangement grows into a bond that challenges both of them to leave habits and fears behind and take their own lives into their hands.
