Prof. Dr. Hans-Christoph Rauh speaks with the long-time publisher Dr. Christoph Links, drawing on his latest book "DDR-Philosophie 1945-1995. Geschichte und Kritik". They discuss how the party built up its "Kader-Philosophie", pushed aside free thinking and its representatives, and what outcomes there were from this "philosophy for a closed world". The talk is deliberately held on the anniversary of the 1989 Alexanderplatz mass demonstration, where Stefan Heym declared: "It is as if someone has opened the windows".
