Concerts
Eastgate Youth Orchestra with Schubert, Lysenko and Holst.
About
A concert by the Eastgate Youth Orchestra at the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche. The project orchestra, founded in 2022, brings together specialist music schools from Poznań and Lviv and the Musikgymnasium Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Berlin; it performs works by Paderewski, Schubert, Lysenko, Stamitz and Holst under conductor Adam Domurat, with Olexandr Amstibovskyi (violin), Adriy Shutko (cello) and Helena Halas (flute) as soloists. Making music together, getting to know different cultural spheres and engaging with the history of Poland, Ukraine and Germany shape the orchestra's work. Entry is free, donations are requested.
